This forum is designed to be a safe space for all to communicate ideas and concerns about their immediate environment and the world at-large, express themselves uncensored, and connect with other like-minded (and differently-minded) individuals. In order to achieve this goal, we have a few simple rules for all to abide: Open to All - The way that we grow as human beings is by embracing the varying ideas, ideologies, and thought-processes of other humans being. We cannot achieve this growth if we limit our members to those that represent our own personal POV. Be Respectful - In order to receive the benefit of our differences, we must be respectful of them. While we do not have to agree with our peers, we must allow them space to be their authentic self within this forum. Judgement/Shame-free Zone - While this may seem to go without saying based on the above rule, let us be clear - being respectful isn't all about what we say, but how we say it. And a key part of showing respect is by not framing statements and/or replies in an implicit manner, suggesting that one should feel ashamed or feel judged for who they are or what they believe. Intolerant of Intolerance - In the spirit of embracing the truth that everyone is entitled to their own ideas and ideologies, please know that the moderators of this forum will not tolerate any member that posts hate-speak, inflammatory commentary, or any type of unproductive shade. Any member found guilty of violating this policy will be counseled no more than 2x's before having their membership terminated. No Profanity - Please note: This rule is NOT designed to censor nor shame users. However, Shine On! and Sōl Leaders are sponsored by Minneapolis Community Education Youth Programs. Please be respectful in your dialogue and defer to your big-kid words. Thank you for your cooperation!
